This exhibition brings together some of her most important works, including Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 1932, the most expensive painting by a female artist ever sold at auction. Bhupen Khakhar To 6 November 2016 Renowned for his unique figurative style and incisive observations of class and sexuality, Bhupen Khakhar (1934- 2003) played a central role in modern Indian art and was a key international figure in 20th century painting. This landmark exhibition showcases vivid works on canvas, luminous watercolour paintings and experimental ceramics. Georgia O’Keeffe - Jimson Weed/White Flower No.1, 1932 O n Saturday 17th September from 11am to 6pm Bermondsey Street and the surrounding roads will be awash with party-goers, competing dogs, musicians and lots of fancy dress as well as lots of gorgeous models as part of the regular fashion show. The Bermondsey Street Festival is the perfect blend of village fête folksiness and Bermondsey Street style!
