Spring 2015

Dear Readers

It’s so much warmer now, down by the riverside. During the winter months it can be too bracing to loiter near the water for too long but, when the sun comes out and the temperature rises, there really is no better place to be.

Whether it’s taking a coffee outside the Blueprint Cafe before heading into the Design Museum, or pacing along the Southbank, in March/April it’s possible to walk a little more slowly and enjoy the views rather than marching just to keep warm.

In this edition we’ve featured another fabulous show at the Design Museum with innovations in health-based technology, which is a subject we looked into in last Autumn’s edition. The theme of ‘tomorrow’s world’ continues with the FutureFest at Vinopolis and a vision of uses for London’s underground tunnels too. We are also pleased to include our first Education feature outlining some local schools, colleges and private learning centres in and around north Lambeth and Southwark, and in next September’s edition we will run a follow-up with full details of all open days in the autumn.

So if, like me, your dynamo seems to be extra charged when the sun comes out, it’s certainly time to celebrate; spring is here and summer is coming.
