brother and sister team Nathan and Hannah Drury-Ellis had both been successfully working in their respective fields when they noticed that ultimately they were both being asked to help people with ‘self-improvement’. This is how they came up with the idea of combining their skills to give clients the most thorough and effective transformation possible.

Nathan, a Personal Trainer, realised that in order for his clients to get the most out of his training, they would need to match it with a style that would complement their changing figure. Similarly, Hannah, a stylist who had worked for some of the biggest brands in the industry, noticed that her clients would benefit greatly from her brother’s expertise. It was out of this realisation that their company, Fashion Fitness Specialists, took shape.

Launched in January of this year with a simple objective: educate, shape, transform. This ethos is also a process that they go through with each new client. The first step, educate, gives their clients all of the necessary information, the ‘science part’, needed to achieve their goals. The next step is to create a structured plan of how to reach these goals: the shape. The final step, transform, is the implementation of the plan, where their clients will start to see the results of their improved health, appearance, and, by extension, lifestyle.

For some, there are always barriers in terms of changing habits and lifestyle. Nathan and Hannah both realised that one group of people who could really benefit from their services, thirty to forty-year-old professionals, would struggle to find the time to undertake a life-changing commitment. For this reason, they knew their approach would have to be completely flexible and bespoke. To do this, they decided to build a whole network of lifestyle support. This includes the ability to work around client’s existing schedules, in studios that are easy to access – they don’t expect clients to travel halfway across London! They also utilise the abilities of Michelin Star chefs to teach their clients how to prepare nutritious and healthy meals.

Some of the specific individual services they offer include personal training, cooking workshops, nutritional guides and tailored diet plans, and that’s just the fitness side. In terms of fashion, the services on offer include wardrobe redesign, personal shopping, trend forecasting, men’s grooming, hair styling and make-up tutorials. These services can be used individually or as part of a ‘create-your-own’ package – completely tailored to each client’s individual needs. They also offer pre-set packages; for example, Nathan and Hannah have just launched their ‘Wedding Package’, which ensures the bride and groom both look and feel their absolute best on the big day.

According to Nathan, it is about changing people’s attitudes as much as their appearance. “Lots of people have habits that are difficult to break, we try to help people make small changes that fit neatly into their life. In creating Fashion Fitness Specialists we wanted to bring all the tools needed to boost confidence in one place. Going on holiday? We can help you get in shape for it. Looking for a new job? We’ll make sure you look and feel great. At the end of the programme, we’ll have ensured you have all that you need to stay that way.”
