St Saviour’s and St Olave’s School announced its best ever A level results this summer. For the first time, close to 60% of grades achieved by students were at A* to B. There was also a 99% pass rate and amongst this array of fantastic results, there were some outstanding outcomes for individual students too.

Many students will go on to study at Russell Group or former 1994 Group Universities. They include Chloe Lennon (A*A*A) who will take up a place at Goldsmith’s, Sharon Darkwa (A*AA) who will study Medicine, Natasha Basham (A*AC) who will study Veterinary Science whilst Precious Ogu (A*AB) will take up a place at university in Connecticut, USA. Commenting on her results Precious said, “St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School has really shaped me and given me brilliant support during my seven years here. It has helped me to mature and given me a great grounding for the future.”

has really shaped me

The following students achieved top grades in all their subjects:
Bea Pearson (AAA)
Tumi Adebimpe (AAA)
Bolu Soyebo (AAA)

Headteacher, Catherine May, said: “I am absolutely delighted with these results. Our girls are going to study at top universities in the UK and abroad, and are accessing great opportunities in the world of work. This reflects their hard work, the commitment of their teachers and the support of their families. I am particularly proud that from our relatively small 6th Form, our girls have succeeded in such a wide range of academic subjects from Further Maths to Drama and from Modern Languages to Psychology.”

Head of 6th Form, John Breslin expressed his delight: “This confirms my belief that whether you are aiming for the best universities or the most prestigious industry placements, St Saviour’s girls have shown that with hard work and commitment, you can achieve these goals. Our staff have given students outstanding teaching and guidance. There are big changes approaching in the sixth form curriculum and future St Saviour’s students can be assured of the quality of the teaching they will receive.”
