An inclusive oasis

in Central London

St Saviour’s and St Olave’s is a popular CE girls’ school with fascinating roots going back to 1562, under the Charter of Elizabeth I. The ethos of the school is built on Christian principles: care and support; challenge with academic rigour. Students have said that they feel safe and appreciate having a ‘voice’ in the school.

Headteacher Catherine May describes the school as “an oasis for staff and students in the middle of inner London. We are an inclusive multi-cultural school which admits students of other faiths and of no faith, as well as Christians. Every member of the community is valued, with high expectations of all and from all.”

St Saviour’s & St Olave’s is recognised as providing outstanding enrichment, involving a terrific range of activities with every member of staff and all students. Music flourishes and there are opportunities for participation in Japanese, Mandarin, drama, a wide variety of sports and homework clubs in every subject area.

These activities, together with the excellent, comprehensive curriculum, ensure that students receive a fantastic education from Year 7 right through to Year 13. The sixth form offers a broad range of subjects, enabling students to follow their own personalised timetable, which has resulted in an abundance of successful applicants gaining places at top universities.

If you have a daughter transferring to secondary school in 2018, then don’t miss the opportunity of visiting St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School on one of the open sessions in September and October this year, dates and times are shown in their advert and on the Open Day listings page.
