The Year 10 Food Technology trip this year was to Borough Market where students took part in the charity soup sale, selling soup along with three other schools; John Ruskin Primary School, Notre Dame and Charles Dickens to raise money for the charity Fareshare.

Fareshare collects unwanted food from places such as supermarkets and distributes it to charities where it is used to feed people who otherwise would go hungry. The St Saviour’s and St Olave’s pupils also made ciabatta bread in the Bread Ahead Bakery.
Sales of bread and soup and raised £165 for Fareshare, and together with the other schools over £400 was raised which would in turn provide 1,900 meals for people who would otherwise have nothing to eat.
